Activities - Spring term

January:

• Monday 4th January – School closed – INSET day
• Tuesday 5th January – School reopens after the Christmas holidays.
• Wednesday 13th January - Phonic workshop for parents of children in classes R, 1 and 2 are invited to come along to find out about how we teach phonics to the children and how you can help your children at home.
• Friday 22nd January – Paradise Park will be sending their outreach team to the Foundation Stage to talk about the care of animals and conservation.
• Friday 29th January – classes 5 and 6 are visiting the science museum

February:

• Friday 5th February – Foundation Stage assembly (am)
• Monday 15th February to Friday 19th February – School closed
• Thursday 11th February - Foundation Stage Social day: You are invited to come to a Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the hall. You will also have the opportunity to hear the children sing the songs and rhymes that they have been learning this term.
• Friday 12th February – Class 1 assembly
• Friday 12th February – Classes 3 and 4 are visiting Hampton Court because they are learning about life in Tudor times.
• Tuesday 23rd February - Session 1 of Triple P training (Positive Parenting Programme) run by Mrs Apps. The sessions will start will lunch at 1 o’clock on each of the three afternoons. If you would like to find out more please speak to Mrs Apps.

March:

• Monday 1st March to Friday 5th March - All the children will be taking part in 'Visit a Place of Worship Week' and each class will be visiting one of the following: local churches, the Salvation Army, a temple, a mosque or a Gurdwara.
• Tuesday 2nd March - Session 2 of Triple P training run by Mrs Apps.
• Thursday 11th March – Classes 1 and 2 will be visiting Mudchute Farm to support the work that they are doing about living processes.
• Friday 12th March – Class 5 assembly
• Friday 19th March – Class 2 assembly
• Monday 22nd - Friday 26th March - Mathematics week. On Friday afternoon (26th March) we will be inviting parents into school to take part in mathematical activities with your children.
• Tuesday 23rd March - Session 3 of Triple P training run by Mrs Apps.
• Friday 26th March – Class 4 assembly
• Wednesday 31st March - Reports to parents: Children in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will bring home their school reports.

April:

• Thursday 1st April – School closes for the holidays at the end of the school day.
